Karipap?? Empanada??

Hey everyone.. today, i want to post about something which is familiar to us but actually, it is originated from another country..... Guess what ????
This is karipap... Also known as empanada in Latin America...
It shocks me when this food not only familiar at Malaysia... this food also can be found at Southern Europe... especially Spain and Argentina... The differences of this food is how they served. In Malaysia or Southeast Asia, it is best served by itself and can be eaten during tea time...  While, for empanadas, it is usually served during festivals and being served with chili sauce and squezzed lime...

The similarities of this food is the ingredient used... Lets take a look at the shape.. Dont u think that it is similar to karipap shape ??? Now, karipap and empanada share the same main ingredients which are meats or chickens ..... and most important is they also use sweet potatoes as their main ingredients...
